Fall Box Lacrosse: Littleton Thunder will be forming teams to play against other AYL clubs joining the Fall Box Lacrosse League.  Teams will be formed to compete in the combined age divisions based on player's grade as of fall 2017:

  • Mites: 1st/2nd
  • Novice: 3rd/4th
  • Pee Wee: 5th/6th
  • Bantam: 7th/8th

Teams play 6v6, 5 players and 1 goalie. Individual teams practice during the week. Practices will be at David Lorenz or Newton Middle School.

Games will start on 8/20 and the season will consist of 6 regular season games on Sundays with no games on Labor Day Weekend, 9/3, immediately followed by playoffs and then Championship Games on the final weekend, 10/15.  All games will be played in Castle Rock at Metzler Ranch Park and David Lorenz Park in Centennial.

Equipment Requirements - all players are required to wear helmet, mouth guard, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads - we recommend using bicep & rib pads. Box goalie equipment will be provided for each team by Littleton Thunder.

Box Lacrosse is a fast-paced and physical game, helping lacrosse players reach higher skill levels in stick-work, speed and agility and is a great compliment to Field Lacrosse. Due to the physical nature of Box Lacrosse, we require at least 1-2 years of field and/or box lacrosse experience to be able to play. Players must be between 1st grade and 8th grade in the fall of 2017.

Due to the great support for Box Lacrosse, the Thunder Fall Ball program will begin in mid October-December: more details to follow.

Thunder Fall Ball: will provide skills and drills 1x per week that will focus on developoing fundamentals for players from all ages interested in playing on a team in the spring. Fall Ball players will participate in a 45 min practice/training session and 45 minutes of small-sided play/games. Training and games will divide players amongst combined age divisions: K - 3rd and 4th - 8th grade.

Littleton Thunder coaches will provide individual drills and instruction for players to help improve their understanding of the game, stick skills and athleticism during this off-season training program.

Location: Indoors

Dates: Mid October - Early December

Equipment Requirements: all players are required to wear helmet, mouth guard, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads.
